Only 1% $490 00 T h e Director of the Physical Plant Department recommends award of contracts to the lowest bidders as follows: General Work—King and Petry, Champaign, $9,725. Electrical Work—Anderson Electrical Company, Danville, $5,500. T h e Carson-Payson Company, Danville, submitted a combined bid of $6,950 as fee for the plumbing and heating and ventilating work. This is lower than the sum of the lowest bid submitted separately on plumbing and heating and ventilating. T h e Director of the Physical Plant Department recommends that award of the plumbing and the heating and ventilating contracts be deferred pending the advice of the Legal Counsel on the interpretation of which may be considered the lowest bid or lowest bids. On motion of Mr. Fornof, the award of the contracts for general work to King and Petry and for electrical work to the Anderson Electric Company was authorized, and the awarding of the plumbing and heating and ventilating was referred to the Executive Committee.1 1 See below, page 956.
