LEASE OF RESIDENCE TO DR. WILLARD

(4) I request the Board to lease to me as of July 1, 1946, the house on Nevada Street formerly occupied by the late Dr. David Kinley, President Emeritus. O n motion of Dr. Meyer, the Committee on Buildings and Grounds was authorized to arrange the details of this lease with D r . Willard, following the same principles as in the case of the lease to Dr. Kinley. SABBATICAL LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR T. W . BALDWIN (5) Professor T. W. Baldwin, of the Department of English, was granted a sabbatical leave of absence during either the first semester or the second semester of 1945-1946, depending on the status of the war and conditions abroad, since he planned to spend his time doing research work in England. Conditions in England are such that he could not carry on his research effectively, and I, therefore, recommend that his sabbatical leave of absence be cancelled without prejudice in regard to a sabbatical leave in the future. O n motion of M r . Davis, this recommendation was adopted.
