93^ BOARD OF TRUSTEES [December n Whereas, these Benefactors have tendered, by way of gift and in the form of a Deed of Trust to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, through the University of Illinois Foundation, certain securities for the purpose of maintaining the Trees Collection of Paintings as more particularly described in their letter of December II, 1045, a copy of which is attached. Now therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, in accordance with the terms of the aforementioned letter, hereby accepts such gift, and desires here to record its deep appreciation to these donors for this new generosity and interest in serving, through this University, the youth of this State. MEYER Chairman A F T E R N O O N SESSION, DECEMBER 11, 1945 When the Board convened in open session at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 1945, the same members and officers, and Dr. Stoddard, were present as during the morning session. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of the Board on October 18, 1945, and, for record, of the Executive Committee on the same day. On motion of Dr. Meyer, the minutes were approved and received for record as printed on pages 855 to 904 above. MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT WILLARD T h e Board considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. DEGREES CONFERRED IN CHICAGO (1) A recommendation that degrees be conferred as of December 22, 1945, on those graduates of the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry who have completed the requirements and have been certified by the University Senate for the degrees shown. The list of candidates is given below. On motion of Mr. Fornof, these degrees were conferred as recommended. College of Dentistry: Summary Bachelor of Science in Dentistry 2 Doctor of Dental Surgery 16 Total, College of Dentistry 18 College of Medicine: Bachelor of Science in Medicine 4 Doctor of Medicine _6_ Total, College of Medicine 10 Graduate School—Chicago Departments: Master of Science 3 Total, Degrees Conferred 31
