MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS January 2 0 , 1 9 4 5 The January meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University Club, 76 East Monroe Street, Chicago, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 1945. The following members were present: President Livingston, Mr. Fornof, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Karraker, Mr. McKelvey, Dr. Meyer, and Mr. Nickell. Mr. W. W. McLaughlin, member-elect, was present by invitation and sat with the Board during the entire session. President Willard was present; also Mr. A. J. Janata, Assistant to the President, Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Secretary, Mr. Lloyd Morey, Comptroller, Mr. I. L. Porter, Treasurer, and, during part of the day, Professor R. N. Sullivan and Mr. J. F. Wright, Director of Public Information. MINUTES APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of November 30, 1944, and, for record, of the Executive Committee of December 12, 1944. On motion of Mr. Karraker, the minutes were approved and received for record as printed on pages 291-324 above. 325
