TUITION FEES FOR EXTRAMURAL COURSES AT C H A N U T E FIELD (16) Officers at Chanute Field have requested the University to establish evening courses at that place to meet requests from a large number of the personnel for such courses. T h e Extension Division is prepared to establish such work. T h e Board on August 5, 1941 (Minutes, page 421), in connection with the registration of persons from Chanute for resident work, voted to classify as residents of Illinois any person in active military service stationed within t h e state. The regular fee for certain correspondence or extramural extension work is $5 a semester hour of undergraduate credit. T h e Director of Extension, the Provost, and the Comptroller recommend that for the proposed work at Chanute Field the charge be $2.50 a semester hour of credit. I concur in this recommendation and request approval.
