Mr. Park Livingston c/o Dean Milk Company 20 North IVacker Drive Chicago, Illinois

DEAR M R . LIVINGSTON:

At the last meeting of the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, the Board took action on certain things which should be referred to the Board of Trustees. I am taking the liberty, as Secretary of the Board of Directors, to pass these along to you for their consideration and final

disposal. They are numerated below:

1. That the Board of Trustees make an appropriation for the purpose of securing chest X-rays on all students, particularly veterans, at least once annually for the purpose of detecting tuberculosis. 2. That the Trustees and administration speed their plans for a comprehensive nursery school and pre-school program. 3. T h a t the Trustees instigate a reorganization of the Health Service for more thorough and effective work. 4. That the Trustees appropriate sufficient funds for the employment of a full-time Public Health nurse for the veterans' villages. You are probably aware of the fact that we have a committee that is working with the returned veterans in an effort to help them solve their problems. Much .of the action in regard to returned veterans has been obtained from close contact and from meetings with campus veterans who have been selected in an impartial and unbiased manner.
