PORTRAIT O F PRESIDENT A. C. WILLARD

The Classes of 1945 and 1946 in the Colleges and Schools at Urbana-Champaign wish to present to the University a portrait of President Arthur Cutts Willard painted by Professor C. E. Bradbury of the Department of Art. It is desired to make the formal presentation during the President's Reception to the Senior Class on the evening of June 15, 1046. A portrait of President Willard, painted by Robert Philipp while he was a Carnegie Visiting Professor of Art during the academic year 1940-1941, was presented to the University and accepted by the Board of Trustees on January 22, 1041. Since two senior classes are now presenting another portrait of the President of the University, it is respectfully suggested that the Board of Trustees present the Robert Philipp portrait to President Willard. On motion of Mr. McLaughlin, this portrait was accepted, and the gift of the portrait by Robert Philipp was authorized as suggested.
