which they must teach when they are employed. T h e new curriculum has been worked out by the Division of Agricultural Education in the College of Education and the various departments of the College of Agriculture with the advice of members of the Federal Vocational Board. The new curriculum is almost entirely a rearrangement of present courses, there being only one new course involved. This curriculum will not require any additions to the staff or to the budget, since the courses which make it up are already being offered. It is simply a rearrangement of existing courses to meet the needs of students seeking training in Vocational Agriculture. 1 concur in this recommendation.

CURRICULUM IN VOCATIONAL AGRICULTURE

T h e selection and distribution of prescribed courses in technical agriculture is such as to insure a reasonable preparation in all the phases of agriculture which are commonly taught in the high school. In addition, the curriculum includes the necessary courses in educational theory and practice, including practice teaching, as well as a broad base of fundamental science and other general training believed to be essential for prospective high school teachers. BRITISH PATENTS ON PHOTOELECTRIC CELL (5) T h e Secretary of the Board reports the receipt of the following: 1. Original British patent No. 527,353, issued on Joseph Tykocinski Tykociner, Jakob Kunz, and Lloyd Preston Garner, British Application Serial No. 37,927/38, with memorandums of interest. In the memorandum it is noted that this patent extends for a period of sixteen years from December 30, 1938, the date of filing the application in Great Britain. T h e British patent is based on
