The meeting w^s called to order by Lynn. ~$he Secretary's minutes were read &.nd approved, as read. The treasurer's report was rea.d and, approved. Lynn asked for ^engineering council report, Jana reported future plans to raise money for councllconsisted of $ button &ale and dues from the . various societies on campus. We plan to give $5»00 to council, £he also reported plans for ., booklejr to help entering freshmen and. transfer q students. All agreed it was a good id.ea if the money for it aould be obtained. The Open -House report followed. Gloria said that the idea for a ^ j " synthethic food display was not possible. General Mills wouldn't be abl e to send necessary supplies and there were no other possible places to send, offto and hope to get results in time for the Open-House. There was another suggestion to consider the subject of oceanography. We decided that we would sponsor a queen candidate for St. Pot's Ball. The floor was open for nominations. Linda Lindroth ^nd Liz Koranyi we3 nominated.. Liz was selected. ,, the society's queen candidate. '. -s The society's nominations for knights of St. Pat wereLynn Granzoi>r and Liz Koranyi. The election of vice-president was the next order of business. was elected, on a white ballot. Jana florin Lynn then announced that the Open**"House committee wanted volunteers to speak to J i x j schools about Open- House. Names of persons wanting to do so 5!| were taken. The meeting was ajourned and. refreshments were served..
