Society of Women Engineers December 7, 1966 7:00 P.Mo University of Illinois Miss Wilson's home Student Section The Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers met on December 7, 1966, at 7:00 P.M. at Miss Grace Wilson's home0 The meeting was called to order by Sandra Levey« The Secretary's report was read and approved as read. The Treasurer's report was given. in the treasury. There is a balance of |77.07

Old Business: Engineering Council report: Council is still discussing its three committees. The profile committee will study the first two years in the engineering curriculum. The communications committee will study communications between the student and faculty and between student and student. lew Business: Open House report: There has been one Open House Committee meeting. The themes for Open House deal with the life of the engineering student, the cenjiftennial, and engineering in general9 The names of women graduates and their pictures might be used in our display on the history of engineering and computers. Cartoons will also be used* Dr. Chow will give a demonstration of simulated rainfall on February 18 at 9:30 A.M. in the hydraulics laboratory. Alison Chamberlin was elected unanimously as our St. Pat's ball queen candidate. Election of officers: Lynn Granzow became president when Sandra Levey left office. The nominations for vice-president were Alison Chamberlin and Jana Sue Plorin. Alison was elected. The nominations for Engineering Council representative were Jana Plorin, Vivian Brosey, and Kay Eash. Kay was elected. Jjymi Granzow was nominated for the Knights of St. Pat. There will be no meeting next month. Slides of women in various fields of engineering were shown by Miss Wilson. The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served.
