University of Illinois Transportation Building lounge Student Section The Student Section of the Society of Women Engineers met on November 8, 1966, at 8:30 P„M. in the lounge of the Transportation Buildingo The meeting was called to order by Sandra Levey. The Secretary*s minutes were read and approved as read. The Treasurer's report was read and approvedo balance of $87.07 in the treasury. There is a New Business: A motion passed that we contribute ten dollars to the Dean Pierce Memorial B m d . We voted not to act on the Glabaugh Act, Open House report: Miss Margaret Long, a former systems engineer for I.B.MV talked to Liz Koranyi about obtaining time on a computer from Chicago. Engineering Council Report: Engineering Council has three committees; the educational affairs concerned with teacher evaluation and the passfail system, the communications committee, and the operation profile committee. A speaker talked on engineers and management. Dean Turner will come to speak on Open House. The next meeting is December 7. The meeting was adjourned and refreshments were served.
