AH of the contractors were requested to specify the amounts to be added to their bids if contracts are not awarded within ninety days, but are awarded within one hundred and eighty days. It was necessary to take bids on this basis because the construction funds for these contracts will come from state capital appropriations from the proceeds of the Universities Bond Issue and it is not known how soon such funds will be available and will be released. Accordingly, it is recommended that the Executive Committee authorize awards of these contracts subject to availability of funds within ninety days, which means not later than September 6, 1961. If funds are not available so that contracts can be awarded within ninety days or by September 6, 1961, but are made available n-ithin ninety days thereafter or by December 6, 1961, it is recommended that the authorization for the award of the above contracts be revised as follows: Underground Steam Tunnel, Concrete Ductruns, Manholes, and Load Centers Construction to Women's Residence Halls (Division "AA") — Superior Construction Company, Inc., Gary, Indiana $357 206 Base Bid $279 186 Additive Alternates 68 020 Extension of Award Date 10 000 Piping System in Underground Steam Tunnel to Assembly Hall (Division "GG") — George S.
