ized a contract with Champaign-Urbana City Lines, Inc. for a trial period of one month with service to students and staff provided as follows: Along a route with one starting point on Gregory Drive adjacent to the Men's Residence Halls area on Peabody and Gregory Drives, east on Gregory Drive to Sixth Street, north on Sixth Street to Armory Avenue, east on Armory Avenue to Wright Street, north on Wright Street to Green Street, east on Green Street through the campus to Goodwin Avenue, south on Goodwin Avenue to Nevada Street, and thence through the campus to Pennsylvania Avenue, east on Pennsylvania Avenue to Lincoln Avenue, north on Lincoln Avenue to Nevada Street, west on Nevada Street to Goodwin Avenue, north on Goodwin Avenue to Green Street, and return to the starting point; buses on this route to run both ways; the route subject to change to accommodate traffic demands. Travel time from one end to the other to be approximately ten minutes. Service to be between the hours of 7:15 a.m. and 5:15 p,m. Monday through Friday. A maximum waiting period between buses of seven to eight minutes. Clearly identified stops at intervals of about one block. Buses will be specifically assigned for this service and will be so designated. Fare to be five cents per ride; however, this will not include transfer privileges between the special bus service and the regular intercity bus service. The estimated cost of this service for one month is $6,500. Response from students indicates that revenue will equal the cost but the University must make up any deficiency to the extent of $5,750. It was the judgment of the Executive Committee that the University should accept the responsibility of any deficiency in operations for service to students and staff during the trial period. The Executive Committee reports its action for record. On motion of Mr. Harewood, the action of the Executive Committee was confirmed.

CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING ANNEX

(12) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend authorization of engineering services for the preparation of drawings and specifications for heating, air conditioning, plumbing, aud electrical work in the remodeling of the north end of the Electrical Engineering Annex, under a standing contract with Brown, Manthei, Davis, and Mullins, Consulting Engineers, Champaign, approved by the Board of Trustees on June 23, 1959. The estimated cost of this work is $6,000. I concur. On motion of Mr. Hughes, this recommendation was approved,

CONTRACT FOR RELOCATION O F T E L E P H O N E CABLE FACILITIES

(13) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend authorization of an agreement with the Illinois Bell Telephone Company to trench, remove, and restore the underground telephone cable facilities located on the site of the Illini Union Building addition. This cable is owned by the Company, but the University must pay the usual charges which in this case are estimated at $4,500. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Clement, this agreement was authorized.

SALE OF SECURITIES FROM TRUST F U N D S INVESTMENTS

Mr. Swain, for the Finance Committee, offered the following resolution :

WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is the owner of the following shares of stock: 125 National Aviation, 400 Investors Mutual, and WHEKEAS, the Finance Committee of said Board has determined that it is advantageous to sell the above listed securities,
