CONTRACT FOR NEW ROOF AND GUTTERS ON SMITH MUSIC HALL

(30) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $14,971 to Industrial Roofing Contractors, Mattoon, the lowest bidder, for a new roof and gutters on Smith Music Hall. Funds are available in the budget of the Physical Plant Department for this improvement. I concur. O n motion of M r , Harewood, this contract was awarded, as recommended, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Harewood, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr, Pogue, M r . CONTRACTS FOR LANDSCAPING AND PLANTING OF FINE AND APPLIED ARTS BUILDING AND CENTRAL FOOD STORES AREAS

(31) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of contracts to the Twin City Nursery and Landscape Service, Urbana, the lowest bidder, for landscaping and planting the following areas: Fine and Applied Arts Bnilding and Krannert Art Museum $14 736 94 Central Food Stores Building S 437 49 Funds are available in the slate capital appropriations for 1959-61 for the Fine and Applied Arts Building area and in the construction account for the Central Food Stores Building. 1 concur.

(32) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend awards of the following contracts tor the construction of two laundry buildings to serve the Orchard Place and Orchard Downs Apartments in the area south of Florida Avenue and east of Orchard Street extended, the award in each case being to the lowest bidder. General — C. A. Petry and Sons, Champaign $38 490 00 Electrical — Neal Morton Electric, Champaign 4 492 00 Plumbing—Reliable Plumbing and Heating Company, Champaign.. 32 527 00 Heating — F. R. Inskip Company, Champaign 3 792 00 Ventilating— F. R, Inskip Company, Champaign 3 080 00 Fuuds are available in the construction account for the Orchard Downs Apartments. (33) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $82,940 to Divane Brothers Electric Company, 3826 West Van Buren Street, Chicago, Illinois, the lowest bidder, for improvements in the present inadequate electrical distribution system in the first unit of the Dentistry-Medicine-Pharmacy Building.
