Provost acting for the President, the Executive Committee of the Board approved the award of a contract for $41,444 to the Ideal Heating Company, Chicago, the lowest bidder, for piping and miscellaneous work in the construction of a cooling tower for an addition to the Abbott Power Plant. Funds are available in the state capital appropriations for 1959-61. Confirmation of this action is requested. O n motion of M r s . Watkins, the action of the Executive Committee was confirmed by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, M r . H a r e wood, M r . Herrick, M r . Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Pogue, M r . Swain, M r s . The cost of this construction Is within the presently estimated total cost of $480,000 for this project, of which $80,000 will be provided from state capital appropriations. The balance of $400,000 -will be temporarily financed from INini Union reserves and housing operation surpluses and ultimately will be charged to the cost of construction of the Illini Union addition, and the advances of funds will be repaid from the proceeds of the bond issue to finance the Illini Uni°n additioa
