1960] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 103 On motion of Mr. Harewood, these contracts were awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mr, Clement, Mr. Harewood, Mr, Herrick, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Pogue, Mr, Swain, Mrs, Watkins, Mr. Wilkins, Mr, Williamson; no, none; absent, Mr. Stratton, CONTRACT FOR ROOF REPAIR AT CHICAGO PROFESSIONAL COLLEGES (17) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $3,125 to the Pine Building Maintenance Company, Chicago, Illinois, for repair of the Betatron roof at the Chicago Professional Colleges. The work will consist of furnishing and installing a waterproof membrane and traffic course on the concrete slab covering the Betatron area. There has been difficulty with water seepage through this concrete slab, and all conventional means of repair have been unsuccessful. The repair process is recommended by the Tremco Manufacturing Company, manufacturer of the products to be used, and the installation will be under its supervision. Funds for this work are available in the Physical Plant De;>artmcnt budget. I concur. CONTRACTS FOR CONSTRUCTION O F ZOONOSES LABORATORY BUILDING A N D EXTENSION O F UTILITIES TO THE BUILDING (18) On recommendation of the Director of the Physical Plant and the VicePresident and Comptroller, with the concurrence of the Vice-President and Provost acting for the President, the Executive Committee of the Board approved a-wards of contracts as follows for the construction of a Zoonoses Laboratory for the College of Veterinary' Medicine, and for extension of utilities to the building, the award in each case being to the lowest bidder; Zoonoses Laboratory General—English Brothers Company, Champaign $116 600 (Base bid of $136,600, less deductive alternate of $20,000 for substitution of "Liquid Tile" surfacing material for glazed tile.) Electrical — Neal Morton Electric, Champaign 15 803 Plumbing — David W.
