On motion of Mr. Swain, this contract was awarded and authority was given as recommended; this action was taken by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Johnston, Mr. Jones, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Governor Kerner, Mr. Page, Dr. Weatherly.

CONTRACT FOR DIVERSION OF STEAM SERVICE TO MEMORIAL STADIUM, URBANA (20) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $63,655 to Julian Engineering Company, Chicago, the lowest bidder, for the diversion of steam service to Memorial Stadium to clear the site of the Intramural-Physical Education Building. T h e work must be completed prior to the start of construction of the building. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1965-67 and have been released. It is further recommended that the Board authorize the assignment of this contract to the Illinois Building Authority, with the assignment to be executed in the event the construction of the Intramural-Physical Education Building project is declared by the Seventy-fifth General Assembly to be in the public interest as a project to be financed by the Illinois Building Authority. CONTRACT FOR STEAM SERVICE TO UNDERGRADUATE LIBRARY, URBANA (21) T h e Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend award of a contract for $20,738 to Julian Engineering Company, Chicago, the lowest bidder, for steam service construction work to serve the Undergraduate Library at Urbana. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for 1965-67 and have been released. I concur.

CONTRACT FOR INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICE FOR UNDERGRADUATE LIBRARY, URBANA (22) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend that a contract be entered into with Dolores Miller and Associates Ltd., Chicago, at the actual cost of personnel at specified hourly rates, for complete interior design services for the Undergraduate Library on the Urbana campus, with the understanding that the cost will not exceed $15,000. Funds are available in the project budget for this work. The Committee on Buildings and Grounds has reviewed and approved this recommendation. I concur.
