ALEXANDER VUCINICH, Professor of Sociology, for the second semester 1967-68; to complete the second volume in his series on science in Russian Culture. A. APPOINTMENTS TO T H E FACULTY (4) The following new appointments to the faculty of the rank of Assistant P r o fessor and above, and involving tenure, have been approved since the previous meeting of the Board of Trustees. Positions in the University are classified in the following categories and are designated in the budget by the symbols indicated: A — indefinite tenure; B — two years; D — one year; E-—nine months from the beginning of the academic year; G — special tenure; Y — twelve months' service required instead of two semesters. Figures following a symbol indicate percentage of time if the appointment is on a part-time basis (e.g., D7S means one year on three-fourths time). 1. H Y F I S H , Visiting Professor of Labor and Industrial Relations, Urbana, on onethird time, for the second semester 1966-1967, at a salary of $3,500 (E33). 2. ALBERTO GONZALEZ-DOMINGUEZ, Visiting Professor of Mathematics, Chicago Circle, for four months from January 1, 1967, at a salary of $6,000 (G). 3. THEODORE HYMOWITZ, Assistant Professor of Plant Genetics, Department of Agronomy, Urbana, for five months from February 1, 1967, at a salary of $5,417 (G).
