Chicago Circle, subject to transfer of title of the land, the award in each case to the lowest bidder. General— T. M. Corbett Co., Chicago $175 400 00 Base bid $171 400 00 Additive alternate for assignment of other contracts 4 000 00 Plumbing — The N u - W a y Contracting Corp., Chicago 34 875 00 Electric — Harmon Electric Co., Chicago 43 555 00 Total $253 830 00 It is further recommended that all contracts other than the contract for general work be assigned to the contractor for that work, making the total of his contract price $253,830, and that an agreement be entered into with J. M. Corbett Co., Chicago, for the assignment of these other contracts for $4,000, which amount is included in the contract price, being the amount bid by that company for service charge for supervision of other contracts assigned to the general contractor. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University from the Universities Building Fund, and have been released by the Governor. A schedule of all bids received is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r s . CONTRACTS FOR AIR-CONDITIONING INSTALLATIONS IN T H E ROOSEVELT ROAD BUILDING (5) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend the award of contracts for the installation of equipment, controls, duct work, and electric service to air condition the area to be occupied by the Departments of Speech and Theatre, and German in the Roosevelt Road Building, formerly the Central National Bank Building, at Chicago Circle, the award in each case being to the lowest bidder. Heating, Piping, Refrigeration, and Automatic Temperature Control Systems — Reid Mechanical Contractors, Inc., Chicago $21 450 00 Ventilation — H . S. Kaiser Company, Elk Grove 19 800 00 Electrical — Midwest Interstate Electrical Construction Co., Chicago.. 5 121 00 Total $46 371 00 Funds are available from state capital appropriations to the University from the Universities Building Fund. Submitted herewith is a schedule of all bids received, a copy of which is being filed with the Secretary of the Board for record. I concur. O n m o t i o n of M r . AGREEMENT WITH COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO T H E MEDICAL CENTER CAMPUS (6) The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend authorization of an agreement to pay Commonwealth Edison Company, Chicago, $9,855 for construction and installation of underground cables and transformer equipment to supply electrical service to the parking lots now being constructed at the Medical Center campus. The University will receive lower rates available under the "Multiple Service and Combined Billing" arrangement previously approved by the Board of Trustees for the Medical Center campus. Funds are available in the parking program construction budget. I concur.
