troller and Secretary of this public corporation be, and they hereby are, authorized to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver, in the name and in behalf of this corporation, such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract, and other documents as are necessary or appropriate in order to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing project and facility by the Illinois Building Authority.

On motion of Mrs. Watkins, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Johnston, Mrs. Watkins; no, none; absent, none.

REQUEST TO ILLINOIS BUILDING AUTHORITY TO CONTRACT FOR T H E PIPING SYSTEM, MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT AND THERMAL INSULATION FOR THE UTILITIES CENTER ADDITION AT CHICAGO CIRCLE, PHASE II (3) On July 21, 1966, the Illinois Building Authority received bids for the installation of the piping system, miscellaneous equipment and thermal insulation for the Utilities Center Addition, Phase I I , at the Chicago Circle. The lowest bidder is T. F. Hanley Corp., 1S03 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, with a bid of $235,598. Four other bids were received as follows: J. L. Cunningham & Company, Chicago $243 458 00 Great Lakes Plumbing & Heating Company, Chicago 269 645 00 Gallaher & Speck, Chicago 280 159 00 Utility Air Conditioning and Heating Co., Chicago 382 000 00 The lowest bidder is deemed fully qualified and has performed satisfactorily under contract with the University in the past. The project is a part of Phase II construction which the Board acting through its Executive Committee on September 2, 1965, requested the Illinois Building Authority to provide. The Authority will finance the construction and lease the facilities to the University for rental payments for which state appropriations are available. The University will transfer jurisdiction of the land on which the project will be constructed to the Authority. The Director of the Physical Plant and the Vice-President and Comptroller recommend that the Board request the Illinois Building Authority to award a contract for the described work to the lowest bidder, and proceed to procure this facility for the use of the University. I concur and recommend the adoption of the following resolution. Resolution Be It, and It Hereby Is, Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Illinois Building Authority be, and it hereby is, requested to award to T. F . Hanley Corp., 1503 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, a contract for the piping system, miscellaneous equipment and thermal insulation for the construction of the Utilities Center Addition at the Chicago Circle, Phase II, for the fixed price of $235,598. Be It, and It Hereby Is, Further Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, that the Comptroller and Secretary of this public corporation be, and they hereby are, authorized to make, execute, acknowledge and deliver, in the name and in behalf of this corporation, such instruments of transfer, conveyance, lease, contract, and other documents as are necessary or appropriate in order to provide for the carrying out of the foregoing project and facility by the Illinois Building Authority.

On motion of Mr. Johnston, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Johnston, Mrs. Watkins; no, none; absent, none.
