Universities Retirement System Building. The financing of the construction of the building and the transfer of title to the land from the University to the Retirement System were subject to approval by the General Assembly. The Seventy-sixth General Assembly has approved the project and Senate Bill 604 authorizes the transfer by the University of title to the site. Accordingly, the President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends adoption of the following resolution providing for the conveyance of title to the site from the University to the State Universities Retirement System. Resolution WHEREAS by an act of the Seventy-Sixth General Assembly of the State of Illinois entitled, "AN A C T to authorize the conveyance of certain real property located in Champaign County, Illinois, by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System" (S.B. 604, approved July 22, 1969), The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois is authorized to convey and quit claim all right, title, and interest in and to the real property hereinafter described and located in Champaign County, Illinois, to the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System, and which real property shall upon such transfer be under the jurisdiction of the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System and shall be used as a site for an office building: Now, Therefore, Be It, and It Hereby Is, Resolved by The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, hereinafter referred to as "Grantor," that the Comptroller and Secretary of this public corporation be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge, and deliver, in the name and in behalf of, this public corporation, and under its corporate seal, a Quit Claim Deed and such other documents in connection therewith as said Comptroller and Secretary may deem necessary or desirable in order to convey to the Board of Trustees of the State Universities Retirement System, a public corporation of the State of Illinois, hereinafter referred to as "Grantee," title to the real property described as follows, viz: Situated in the State of Illinois, the County of Champaign, in the Northeast quarter ( N E V4), of the Southeast Quarter ( S E v4) of Section Twenty-four (24), Township Nineteen North ( T 19 N ) , Range Eight East (R 8 E ) , of the Third Principal Meridian (3rd P.M.) and being more fully bounded and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of the N E i/i, S E 14, Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 8 East of the 3rd. Principal Meridian, Champaign County, Illinois, lying 400.00 feet East of a stone monument being the Southwest Corner of the said N E Vi. S E 14, Section 24; thence Northerly 400.13 feet to a point; thence Easterly 253.69 feet to a point; thence Southerly 400.00 feet to a point on the said South line of the N E Vi, S E V4 Section 24; thence Westerly along said South line of N E Vi, S E V4, Section 24 a distance of 253.30 feet to the true point of beginning and being a part of the N E 1,4, S E 1,4> Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 8 East of the 3rd. Principal Meridian, Champaign County, Illinois, and containing 2.3278 Acres more or less, save, except, and reserving, however, unto the Grantor, its successors and assigns, the perpetual right and easement to construct, reconstruct, operate, repair, and maintain on, over, under, or through the following described portion of said tract, equipment and facilities for any and all utilities, including but not limited to, electricity, water, telephone, sewer, gas and heat, now or hereafter necessary or desirable for the benefit of Grantor, its successors, or assigns, and which said reservation, right, and easement shall run with the land and be binding upon the Grantee, its successors and assigns, viz: A strip of land 25.0 feet of even width and 400.0 feet in length, being the east 25.0 feet of the above-described tract of land; and also, upon a strip of land 10.0 feet of even width and 253.30 feet in length, being the south 10.0 feet of the above-described tract of land.
