after described, and upon, along, under and across the roads, streets or highways on or adjoining said land hereinafter described together with the right of access to the said land hereinafter described, with the right to permit the attachment of the wires of any other Company. Company shall agree to repair any damage caused to property of this corporation by the construction, reconstruction, operation, patrolling, maintenance, renewal or removal of said telephone communications cable, and to indemnify the University and its representatives and tenants from liability in connection with its activities; the term of said easement to be for such period as the easement may be used for the above-described purposes, but upon the discontinuation of use of or abandonment of said telephone communications cable, said easement to thereupon cease and determine without necessity of re-entry or demand; the rights and easement granted to be limited to the extent that this public corporation has the present right and capacity to grant the same. T h e right-of-way easement shall be over the following described property: Situated in the State of Illinois, the County of Piatt, and only on the road right-of-way bordering land described as follows : On West road right-of-way bordering the South Seventy (70) acres of the East One-half ( E Vz) of the Southeast Quarter ( S E 1,4) of Section Four (4), Township Eighteen North (T-18-N), Range Five East (R-S-E) of the Third Principal Meridian (3rd P.M.).

On motion of Mr. Pogue, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Mr. Jones, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger, Mr. Stone.

AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF CHAMPAIGN FOR NORTHWEST CAMPUS DISTRICT LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS (16) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the Board authorize the Comptroller and the Secretary to execute an agreement with the city of Champaign, subject to the release of funds by the Governor, to share in the cost of lighting improvements for an approximate area bounded by University Avenue on the north, Wright Street on the east, Healey Street on the south, and First Street on the west, Champaign. The City plans to finance this work by creating a local improvement district through which most of the costs are to be assessed to abutting properties' frontage. The total cost of the improvements is estimated to be $150,000. Based on the University's ownership of property in the area involved, the cost to the University will not exceed $25,000. Funds are available in state capital appropriations to the University for Fiscal Year 1970, subject to release by the Governor.

On motion of Mr. Hahn, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Clement, Mr. Grimes, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Pogue, Mr. Swain; no, none; absent, Mr. Jones, Governor Ogilvie, Mr. Page, Mr. Steger, Mr. Stone.

AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF URBANA FOR NORTHEAST CAMPUS DISTRICT LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS (17) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends that the Board authorize the Comptroller and the Secretary to execute an agreement with the city of Urbana, subject to release of funds by the Governor, to share in the cost of lighting improvements in the northeast campus perimeter at the Urbana-Champaign campus. The City has indicated that it will include as part of the project the following streets on which the University owns property frontage: Springfield Avenue (Wright to Lincoln) ; Stoughton Street (Romine to Goodwin) ; Main Street (Romine to Mathews); Romine Street (Springfield to Stoughton and Main to University); Mathews Avenue (Springfield to Main) ; Goodwin Avenue (Springfield to University) ; and Gregory Avenue (Springfield to Green), Urbana.
