Architectural services for remodeling in the existing hospitals for the program to be executed in fiscal year 1970 at a fee of actual costs plus 150 per cent for overhead and profit, plus reimbursement for actual expenses. Consultation in the development of the program for a new hospital with hospital professional personnel and the Medical Center hospital planning consultant (Lester Gorsline Associates International) at a fee of actual costs plus 150 per cent for overhead and profit, plus reimbursement for actual expenses. A portion of the funds for the remodeling work is available from the Medical Center General Reserve. The balance of the funds is available from state capital appropriations to the University for fiscal year 1970, subject to release by the Governor, and work will not be authorized for this portion until such funds are released. Funds for the initial planning and program development of a new hospital are available from state capital appropriations and have been released by the Governor. Funds for complete architectural and engineering services for the new hospital are included in the University's request for capital funds for fiscal year 1971, and work will not be authorized until such funds are available. The Advisory Committee on Architectural and Engineering Services has reviewed and approved this recommendation. O n m o t i o n of M r . EMPLOYMENT OF ENGINEERS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO PEABODY DRIVE AND PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, URBANA (7) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends, subject to the release of funds by the Governor, the employment of Daily & Associates, Champaign, for complete engineering services through working drawings, for widening, paving, and lighting Peabody Drive from First Street to Fourth Street, repaying Peabody Drive from Fourth Street to the west Broadwalk extended and paving and lighting Pennsylvania Avenue from Fourth Street to Sixth Street at a fee based on Schedule " B " of the Minimum Fees adopted by the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers. The Advisory Committee on Architectural and Engineering Services and the Committee on Buildings and Grounds have reviewed and approved this recommendation. Funds for these services are available in state capital appropriations to the University for fiscal year 1970, subject to release by the Governor. O n m o t i o n of M r . EMPLOYMENT OF ARCHITECT FOR IMPROVEMENTS AT "JAMES WOODWORTH PRAIRIE PRESERVE'" (8) The President of the University, with the concurrence of appropriate administrative officers, recommends the employment of Samuel Arthur Lichtmann, Chicago, for architectural services for building construction and site improvements at "James Woodworth Prairie Preserve" at a fee of 9 per cent of the actual construction costs plus actual costs for reimbursable expenses authorized by the University. The improvements, estimated to cost $75,000, will include an interpretation center of approximately 1,100 square feet, a parking area, and a protective fence. Funds for this project are available from gifts to the University reported to the Board at its July 23, 1969, meeting. The Advisory Committee on Architectural and Engineering Services and the Committee on Buildings and Grounds have reviewed and approved this recommendation. O n m o t i o n of M r .
