BOARD OF TRUSTEES MINUTES APPROVED

[June 18

The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees on September 18, 1968, press proof copies of which had previously been sent to the Board. On motion of Mr. Swain, these minutes were approved as printed on pages 31 to 116 inclusive. BUSINESS PRESENTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY The Board considered the following reports and recommendations from the President of the University.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT

Copies of the President's report on selected topics of current interest were distributed at the meeting, and a copy was filed with the Secretary of the Board.

AWARD OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT CERTIFICATES (1) T h e Committee on Accountancy recommends that the certificate of Certified Public Accountant be awarded, under Section 5 of the Illinois Accountancy Act of 1943, as amended, to the following candidates who have presented evidence that they are holders of valid and unrevoked Certified Public Accountant certificates obtained by passing a standard written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of

APPOINTMENT TO BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN ACCOUNTANCY (2) The Committee on Accountancy recommends the appointment of Frank A. Reichelderfer, partner in the law firm of Wilson and Mcllvaine, Chicago, to the Board of Examiners in Accountancy for a three-year term beginning July 1, 1969, to succeed Crane Hauser whose term expires with the grading of the May, 1969 Examination. The appointment of Mr. Reichelderfer has the endorsement of the accountant members of the Board of Examiners and Mr. Reichelderfer is willing to serve if appointed. I concur.

On motion of Mr. Jones, this appointment was approved.

ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE DIVISION OF UNIVERSITY EXTENSION (3) T h e Dean of the Division of University Extension has recommended the following reappointments to the Advisory Committee for the Division for two years beginning September 1, 1969.
