On motion of Mr. Pogue, contracts were awarded and action was postponed as recommended. CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS ON HEATING AND POWER PLANT (13) A recommendation that the following changes in contracts for the heating and power plant and distribution system be authorized: Contract with the A. S. Schulman Electric Company for Distribution System Cable and Accessories. Change Order No. 3, reduction of 3000 ft. of No. 4/c No. 4 Cable, in accordance with proposal of January 24, 1940— Deduct $1 OQ8 48 Change Order No. 4, omission of 4500 ft. of No. 4/c No. 00 cable, as per proposal of January 31, 1940—Deduct $5 270 22 On motion of Mr. Adams, these changes were authorized as recommended. CONTRACT C H A N G E ORDERS ON P.W.A. PROJECTS (14) In accordance with the authorization of the Board of Trustees, I have approved the following contract change orders and request confirmation of such approval. Mini Union Building Change Order No. 5, contract with the Wadeford Electric Company for Electrical Work. Omit all pin lights through the building: five in ground story; nine in first story; two in second story; three in third story;—a total of 19 @ $21.23—Deduct $ 403 75 Change Order No. 3, contract with English Brothers for General Work. (1) Provide 3 wood panels in Woman's Lounge in connection with low tension boxes $ 62 80 (2) Change structural framing of upper equipment room floor, east wing, to allow for relocation of hot water storage tank and ventilating duct 39 45 (3) Increase width of four entrance doors to General Lounge in second story 20 00 (4) Changes in construction of Compressor Room floor necessitated by changes in equipment.... 109 16 (5) Furr out roof construction of north gable of main roof 220 48 Total Additional Cost $ 451 89 Change Order No. 4, contract with English Brothers for General Work.
