On motion of Mrs. Plumb, these adjustments were confirmed and the appropriation from the General Reserve Fund was made, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Karraker, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue ; no, none ; absent, Mr. Horner, Mr. Mayer, Mr. Wieland.

APPROPRIATION FOR ENFORCEMENT OF STUDENT MOTOR VEHICLE REGULATIONS (8) A recommendation that an assignment of $1,100 be made from the General Reserve Fund for services and other expenses necessary for the enforcement of the student motor vehicle regulations during the University year 1938-1939.

On motion of Mrs. Freeman, this appropriation was made as recommended, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Adams, Mr. Cleary, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Karraker, Dr. Me3'er, Mr. Moschel, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue; no, none; absent, Mr. Horner, Mr. Mayer, Mr. Wieland. At this point, President Mayer returned and resumed the chair.

APPROPRIATION FOR DIVERSION OF SERVICE LINES CROSSING THE ILLINI U N I O N BUILDING SITE (9) At the meeting of the Board on September 24 (Minutes, page 57), an appropriation of $40,000 was made to cover the University's share of the cost of rerouting the utilities crossing the Illini Union Building site. This was based on an estimated total cost of $58,000 submitted by the consulting engineer who prepared the plans and specifications for this work.
