480 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [February 16 DEATH OF KENNEY E. WILLIAMSON President Forsyth reported to the board that Kenney E. Williamson of Peoria, former trustee and former president of the Board of Trustees, died on February 4 in Peoria at the age of 84. M r . Williamson had served on the Board of Trustees for more than twenty years during the period 1940 to 1969. H e was president of the board from 1949-1951 a n d 1959-1962. H e was a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Class of 1921. Mr. Forsyth noted the long and significant service Mr. Williamson h a d rendered to the University as a trustee and as a n alumnus and as a strong supporter of the institution in a variety of ways, including service t o t h e Alumni Association a n d the University of Illinois Foundation. President Forsyth h a d written a letter to the family, as h a d the secretary of the board, in which he expressed the regrets of the institution at t h e passing of a devoted son of the University.
