466 BOARD OF TRUSTEES [January 19 The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends, subject to availability of funds, that the Capital Development Board be requested to employ the engineering firms identified to provide the required professional services for the respective projects. The fee for each firm will be negotiated in accordance with standard Capital Development Board fee structure for such projects. On motion of Mr. Madden this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, Dr. Donoghue, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Howard, Mr. Madden, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Stone; no none; absent, Mr. Logan, Governor Thompson. A. Petry and Sons, Inc. for the assignment of the other contracts. Funds for this "Renovation for Excellence" project are available in the FY 1984 State appropriated funds budget of the Operation and Maintenance Division. The project will convert a first-floor mailing room into a laboratory and upgrade an adjacent laboratory for research in mechanical and thermal properties of high-temperature technical ceramics. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record.
