tained by passing the uniform written examination in another state or territory of the United States and who qualify in all other respects under this provision of the law. T h e names of the candidates are filed with the secretary. The Committee on Accountancy, pursuant to Rule 15(d) of the Regulations, also recommends that the certificate of certified public accountant be awarded to thirty-four candidates who wish to transfer the examination credit earned by passing the uniform written examination in another state and who have fulfilled all other legal requirements under Sections 1, 2, and 3 of the Illinois Public Accounting Act of 1983, as amended. T h e names of the candidates are filed with the secretary. I concur in these recommendations.

On motion of Dr. Donoghue, these certificates were awarded. Appointment of Director, College of Medicine at Peoria and Senior Associate Dean, College of Medicine

(2) T h e chancellor at Chicago has recommended the appointment of Dr. Jerry I. Newman, presently acting director of the College of Medicine at Peoria, as senior associate dean of the College of Medicine and director of the College of Medicine at Peoria, effective January 19, 1984, on a twelve-month service basis, at an annual salary of $87,500. Dr. Newman will continue to hold the rank of associate professor of medicine. On February 18, 1982, the Board of Trustees approved a reorganization of the College of Medicine which simplified the administrative structure and retitled the position of chief executive officer of the regional sites from dean to director. T h e nomination is made with the advice of a search committee' and after consultation with the Executive Committee of the College of Medicine at Peoria. T h e vice president for academic affairs concurs. I recommend approval. O n m o t i o n of D r . D o n o g h u e , this a p p o i n t m e n t w a s a p p r o v e d .

Appointment of Director, College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign and Senior Associate Dean, College of Medicine

(3) T h e chancellor at Chicago has recommended the appointment of Dr. Charles C. O'Morchoe as senior associate dean of the College of Medicine, director of the College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign, and professor of anatomy on indefinite tenure, effective June 1, 1984, on a twelve-month service basis, at an annual salary of $90,000. Dr. O'Morchoe is presently professor and chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Illinois. H e will replace Dr. Daniel K. Bloomfield whose resignation is effective with the appointment of a director. O n February 18, 1982, the Board of Trustees approved a reorganization of the College of Medicine which simplified the administrative structure and retitled the position of chief executive officer of the regional sites from dean to director.
