Funds will be included in the Chicago Physical Plant institutional funds budget authorization request to be submitted to the Board of Trustees for Fiscal Year 1987. Any additions or deletions in work will be implemented by a written change order should the need arise. Such adjustments will be based upon the unit prices submitted by the contractor in his original bid proposal. T h e FY 1986 annual cost of the contract was increased for FY 1987 to $150,084 as a result of wage increases approved by the comptroller. O n m o t i o n of M r . Contract, Roof Resurfacing, Housing Food Stores, Urbana

(30) T h e president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of a contract for $105,255 to Hitchins Roofing Company, Inc., Urbana, to resurface the roof areas of Housing Food Stores. T h e award is to the low base bidder, plus acceptance of Alternates 1 and 2. T h e roof areas (constructed in 1959) have deteriorated beyond normal maintenance. Funds are available in the Auxiliary Facilities System Repair and Replacement Reserve Fund. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. Alternate 1 is for 12,234 square feet of membrane on the low roof (east) area and Alternate 2 is for restoring 1,050 lineal feet of field laps on the membrane area to prolong its life for an additional 10 to 15 years.
