(26) On January 14, 1982, the Board of Trustees approved an agreement with Evanston Hospital Corporation whereby University of Illinois nursing students were assigned to Evanston Hospital for clinical education. T h e agreement described annual supplementary agreements which would specify the amount of money the University would reimburse Evanston Hospital Corporation for the use of its Learning Resources Center (one-third of the costs in the first year, two-thirds of the costs in the second year, and full costs in the third and following years). Action to date has been as follows: Approval May 20, 1982 June 16, 1983 July 19, 1984 Amount $ 41 391 85 598 120 000 Period Covered September 1, 1982 through June 30, 1983 July 1, 1983 through June 30, 1984 July 1, 1984 through June 30, 1985

The chancellor at Chicago has recommended that Evanston Hospital Corporation be paid $120,000 for the period July 1, 1985, through June 30, 1986. Funds for this agreement have been included in the appropriation bill of the General Assembly to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the University for the Fiscal Year 1986 and will be included in the Health Sciences Center operating budget request for the Chicago campus for FY 1986 to be submitted to the Board of Trustees. The approval of this agreement is subject to the availability of such funds. The vice president for academic affairs and the vice president for business and finance concur in this recommendation. Contracts with Affiliated Hospitals, Chicago, Peoria, and Rockford

(27) The chancellor at Chicago has recommended the renewal of contractual agreements with eligible hospitals affiliated with the College of Medicine to provide partial compensation in Fiscal Year 1986 for the cost of operating and maintaining physical facilities constructed with State of Illinois grants (through the Illinois Board of Higher Education) for the conduct of medical education programs.
