O n motion of Mrs. Gravenhorst, this recommendation was approved by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, M r . Forsyth, Mrs. Gravenhorst, M r . H a h n , M r . Howard, M r . Logan, Mr. M a d d e n , Mrs. Shepherd, Miss Smith; no, none; absent, Governor Thompson. ( T h e student advisory vote was: Aye, Mr. Filip; Mr. Starkeson; no, none.) Contract, Staff Apartments Building, Chicago (9) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of a contract for $228,900 to U.S. Dismantlement Corporation, Chicago, the low bidder, on its base bid, for interior demolition work in the Staff Apartments Building, 809 South Marshfield, Chicago. This project is the initial phase of the work required to convert the building into administrative office space as approved by the board on February 13, 1986. Funds are available from the Institutional Funds budget of the Chicago Physical Plant. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. O n motion of Mrs. Gravenhorst, this contract was awarded by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, M r . Forsyth, Mrs. Gravenhorst, Mr. H a h n , Mr. Howard, Mr. Logan, Mr. Madden, Mrs. Shepherd, Miss Smith; no, none; absent, Governor Thompson. Contract, Asbestos Removal, Staff Apartments Building, Chicago (10) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of a contract for $176,200 to Colfax Company, Chicago, the low base bidder, for asbestos removal work at the Staff Apartments Building, Chicago. This project is the second phase of converting the building to administrative office space. Funds are available from the Institutional Funds budget of the Chicago Physical Plant. A schedule of the bids received has been filed with the secretary of the board for record. Contract, Busey-Evans Residence Halls, Remodeling and Addition, Urbana (11) The president of the University, with the concurrence of the appropriate administrative officers, recommends the award of the following contracts for remodeling and new construction at Busey-Evans Residence Halls, Urbana campus. The award in each case is to the low base bidder, plus acceptance of the indicated alternates.1
