2. Laurence M. Larson, Professor of History—$1,500. Professor Larson •was in the active service of the University from September I, 1907, until his retirement, September 1, 1937. H e died on March 9, 1938. 3. W. G. Hixson, employee of the Physical Plant Department—$274. Mr. Hixson was in the active service of the University from March I, 1910, until his retirement, September I, 1927. H e died on April 3, 1938. 4. Marcus L. Hansen, Professor of History—$2,250. Professor Hansen was in the active service of the University from September 1, 1928, until January 7, 1938, and on leave of absence on account of illness from January 7, to the date of his death, May II, 1938.

Bradbury, transferring to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, the entire right, title, and interest in and to the invention disclosed in their application for United States Letters Patent, Serial No. 190, 392, filed February 14, 1938, covering an improvement in "Method of and Apparatus for Testing Embrittlement Characteristics of Boiler Waters, Case 1." T h e assignment was received and recorded in the Patent Office on February 14, 1938, in Liber X-173, Page 455, of T r a n s f e r s of Patents. This report was received for record.
