1. Miss Mary V. Buckley, Senior Stenographer in the Department of Psychiatry of the College of Medicine, leave of absence without pay for six months from July 1, 1938, to J a n u a r y I, 1939, in addition to the vacation to which she is entitled, on account of illness. 2. Miss E d n a M. Brown, Cataloger in the Library, leave of absence during the month of July, with full pay, in addition to her regular vacation allowance of one month, for the purpose of study and travel in Mexico. 3. Miss Cleo Lichtenberger, Catalog Reviser in the Library, leave of absence for one month, without pay, in addition to her regular vacation allowance of one month, for the purpose of travel abroad. 4. Mr. L. W . Phillips, Assistant in Physics, leave of absence with pay from April 18 to May 4, 1938, on account of illness. 5. Miss Waunetta Kruse, Stenographer in the Division of University E x tension, leave of absence without pay from May 11, 1938, and continuing until further notice, on account of illness. 6. Mr. H e n r y A. Lepper, Special Research Graduate Assistant in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, leave of absence with pay from April 16 to May 2, 1938, on account of illness. 7. Mr. Chester P . Siess, Special Research Graduate Assistant in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, leave of absence with pay from February 28 to April 10, 1938, on account of illness. 8. Dr. Minas Joannides, Associate in the Department of Surgery, leave of absence from May 7 to September I, 1938, because of illness. Doctor Joannides is on the Clinical staff and receives no salary. 9. Mr. J. K. Tuthill, Associate Professor of Railway Electrical Engineering, leave of absence with full pay from May 2 to July 1, 1938, on account of illness. The Department is carrying on his work without additional expense to the University. 10. Dr. E. H . Williams, Associate Professor of Experimental Physics, leave of absence with full pay from May 6 to July I, 1938, on account of illness. The Department is carrying on his work without additional expense to the University. 11. Mrs. Marie M. Daugherty, H o m e Adviser in Woodford County, leave of absence from J u n e 20 to August 13, 1938, two weeks with pay and ten days without pay, in addition to the vacation allowance of one m o n t h ; this is in accordance with the ruling of the Extension Service of the United States Department of Agriculture permitting extension workers to receive an additional two weeks' leave with pay for the purpose of study during the summer.

On motion of Mr. Karraker, these leaves were granted as recommended.

PLYM FELLOWSHIP A N D SCHOLARSHIP APPOINTMENTS (8) The following appointments have been made to the Plym Fellowship and Plym Foreign Scholarship: Jedd S. Reisner, 224 East 47th Street, New York City, to be the Twentyfifth Plym Fellow in Architecture; and A. Richard Williams, School of Architecture, Oklahoma A. and M. College, Stillwater, Oklahoma, as alternate. David B. Runnells, 936 East 12th Avenue, Denver, Colorado, to the Fifteenth Plym Foreign Scholarship in Architectural Engineering; and Dean F . Hilfinger, 602 Corn Belt Bank Building, Bloomington, Illinois, as alternate.

RELEASE OF EXPERIMENT FIELD IN MASSAC COUNTY (9) T h e Agricultural Experiment Station proposes to discontinue the use of the experiment field near Unionville in Massac County, which was deeded to the University in 1910, in lieu of the opportunities provided in Fayette County in which a field was recently given to the University. The Unionville field was deeded to t h e University for experimental purposes by approximately 169 citizens of Massac and Pope Counties who contributed to the purchase of this field, with the provision that in the event the University ceases to use the property for experimental purposes it shall revert
