ISSUE OF BONDS FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL COLLEGE LABORATORIES BUILDING

(37) A report that on August 14, 1936, the loan and bond issue for the construction of the second unit of the Medical and Dental College Laboratories Building, known also as the Medical and Dental College Building Trust, was closed and the proceeds of the bond issue were received by the Treasurer of the University of Illinois Foundation. The total amount received was $1,096,212.56, consisting of $1,091,000 principal on the bond issue and $5,212,56 accrued interest. The former was credited to Construction Fund "B" under the trust agreement and is available for the construction of the building. The latter amount ($5,212.56) was credited to the Bond Fund to be used in paying the first interest installment. T h i s report was received for record.

CONTRACT CHANGE ORDERS FOR MEDICAL AND DENTAL B U I L D I N G

(38) In accordance with the authorization of the Board on July 10, 1936 (Minutes, page 4), the Chairman of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds has approved certain contract change orders on work on the Medical and Dental Building, as specified below, and the following resolution is offered to ratify said actions. O n motion of M r s . Plumb, the following resolution was adopted. Be it resolved, that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby ratines and confirms the action of the Chairman of its Committee on Buildings and G r o u n d s in approving the recommendations of the Physical Plant Department and the President of the University for the following change orders in contracts for the construction of the second unit of the Medical and Dental College Laboratories Building: General contract, orders N o . 10 to 16, inclusive; Plumbing contract, orders N o . 7 to 13, inclusive; H e a t i n g contract, orders N o . 3 to 6, inclusive; Ventilating contract, orders N o . 2 to 4, inclusive; Electrical contract, orders N o . 3 to 5, inclusive.
