AGREEMENT W I T H ASSOCIATION OF AMERICAN RAILROADS FOR INVESTIGATION OF C O N T I N U O U S W E L D E D RAILS (17) A recommendation from the Dean of the College of Engineering for the approval of an agreement with the Association of American Railroads for a cooperative investigation of the strength, ductility, and toughness of continuous welded rails by the Engineering Experiment Station. T h e agreement is drawn for a period of two years from May 1, 1937, unless previously terminated by the Association on at least three months' notice in advance, and the Association agrees to contribute up to $20,000 to cover the expenses of the investigation. T h e agreement conforms to t i e University Statutes and policies governing such cooperative research projects. On motion of Mr. Cleary, the execution of this agreement was authorized as recommended.
