Scarab Fraternity, a medal to be offered to the sophomore student in architectural design whose work on the first major problem of the second semester is judged to be the most meritorious by the jury of the Department of Architecture. 9. Utilities Research Commission, additions to previous grants: $1,800 Solubility of Boiler Waters (Case No. 31) $1,700 Stack Gases (Case No. 34) $2,100 Stretching of Lead Sheaths (Case No. 23) 10. Nutrition Research Laboratories, an addition of $141.67 to a previous grant for Vitamin D research.

TRANSCRIPTS OF STUDENT RECORDS (29) A request from the Superintendent of Schools of Quincy that the University waive the charge of $1.00 for official transcripts of records.

No action was taken on this matter.

The Board voted to hold the June meeting at the University, in Urbana, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 1937.

Bartlett, Alice, Laboratory Helper in the Department of Orthopaedics, in t h e College of Medicine, for three months beginning June I, 1937, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, a t a cash compensation at the rate of eighty-five dollars ($85) a month (this supersedes her previous appointment). (May 7, 1937)1 Beiler, A. C., to give instruction in Physics, on one-half time, in the Summer Session of 1937, beginning June 21, 1937, and ending August 14, 1937, at a cash compensation of one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) for the session. (April 26, 1937) Berg, Max, Assistant in Pathology, in the College of Medicine, for four months beginning May 1, 1937, without salary. (April 23, 1937) Cluster, Mrs. Lowell Harris, Stenographer in the Office of the Dean of the College of Engineering, on one-half time, for four months beginning May I, 1937, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, a t a cash compensation at the rate of forty dollars ($40) a month. (May 3, 1937) Dollins, Curtis W , Special Research Assistant in Engineering Materials, in the Engineering Experiment Station, beginning June 1, 1937, and continuing until further notice, a t a cash compensation a t the rate of two hundred dollars ($200) a month. (May 10, 1937) Elsdon, James Harold, Instructor in Romance Languages, for ten months beginning September 1, 1937, a t a cash compensation of one thousand eight hundred dollars ($1,800).
