8. From the Illinois State Electric Association the sum of $665 for the Short Course for Electric Metermen offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering. 9. From the National Research Council the sum of $500 for continuation of the study of amino acids. This is in addition to the original gift of $1,500. io. F r o m the Chicago Illinae Club the s u m of $50 as an additional contribution to the Chicago Illinae Club Loan Fund. T h e original gift was ?2oo and this addition increases the fund to $250. 11. F r o m Dr. George E. Mylonas, w h o came here from Greece this year to be on the faculty, several pieces of pottery which he discovered in the investigations which he has been conducting in Greece for the last two years. These specimens illustrate the development of Greek vase painting from approximately 3,000 to 700 B.C. They will be placed in the M u s e u m of Classical Art and Archeology. BEQUEST OF HARRY J. DIFFENBAUSH OF KANSAS CITY

(24) The Will of the late Harry J. Diffenbaugh of Kansas City, a former student of the Class of 1882, recently deceased, establishes a trust fund, the income from which is to be loaned to worthy and needy students w h o are residents of the State of Missouri attending the University of Illinois. T h e trust is to be administered by Messrs. Edgar O. Bragg and T h a d B. Landon, and the N e w England National B a n k and Trust C o m p a n y in Kansas City. Under the law of Missouri the estate will be in process of administration for at least one year to give heirs-at-law entitled to do so opportunity to bring suit contesting the Will if they wish, and there will be no income from this source this year at any rate. This is a residuary bequest and the attorneys for the estate have not indicated the amount. A copy of the Will is submitted to the Secretary, herewith, for filing. T h i s w a s received for record.
