(23) T h e following report of gifts received by the University since the last report: 1. F r o m the Standard Brands, Incorporated, a grant of $3,500 for continuation of the research w o r k on the effect of yeast on the digestive tract, during the year I93I-I9322. F r o m the M & R Dietetic Laboratories, Incorporated, the s u m of $2,500 to cover the expenses of a nutritional research investigation offluidmilk with a modified mineral content. 3. F r o m the Chemical Foundation of N e w Y o r k City, the s u m of $2,000 for research w o r k in connection with sewage treatment during the year 1931-1932. 4. F r o m the Radiological Research Institute of Syracuse, N e w York, the s u m of $1,500 for a five-months' extension of two graduate assistantships in chemistry which were established b y this c o m p a n y last year. 5. F r o m F. C. H u y c k and Sons of Albany, N e w York, the s u m of $1,200 for the renewal of the Frank J. M c G o v e r n Fellowship in Chemistry. 6.
