(10) A recommendation from Professor James M . White, Supervising Architect, concerning the award of contracts for the general work, plumbing, heating, and wiring on the University High School Gymnasium: September 16, 1929 President David Kinley, J55 Administration Building Dear President Kinley: With Mrs. Busey and Mrs. Evans present, we opened bids Saturday, September 14, for the General Work, Plumbing, Heating, and Wiring on the University High School Gymnasium and the Agronomy Seed House. I am enclosing a schedule of the bids received on the High School Gymnasium and make the following recommendations: That the contract for the General Work be awarded to G. A. Applegate of Champaign, the low bidder, at his bid of $19,085.00. That Carson-Payson Company of Danville be awarded the contract for the Heating and Plumbing on their combined bid of $2,700.00, which is low. That the Dexter Electric Company of Champaign, the low bidder on the Wiring, be awarded this contract on their bid of $388.00. Recommendations with reference to the Agronomy Seed House will be made to you later. Yours very truly,
