On motion of Mrs. Evans, these appropriations were made, by the following vote: Aye, President Armstrong, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Dr. Noble, Mr. Simpson; no, none; absent, Mr. Barr, Mr. Blair, Mr. Emmerson, Mr. Fisher, Mr. Trees. GYMNASIUM AND AUDITORIUM FOR HIGH SCHOOL (31) After conference with the Dean of the College of Education, the Supervising Architect recommends that an appropriation of $25,000 be made for the construction of an addition to the Education Building to house a gymnasium and auditorium for the University High School. I concur. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this appropriation w a s m a d e , b y the following vote; A y e , President Armstrong, M r s . Busey, M r s . E v a n s , M r s . Grigsby, D r . Noble, M r . Simpson; no, none; absent, M r . Barr, M r . Blair, M r . E m m e r s o n , M r . Fisher, M r . Trees. SUGGESTED PURCHASE OF JONES PROPERTY (32) The Supervising Architect recommends that an appropriation of $9,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund, for the purchase of the Jones property on Railroad Street in Urbana, which is just east of the land on which the University coal is stored. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this matter w a s referred to the C o m mittee on Buildings and G r o u n d s for consideration and report. APPROPRIATION FOR CHANGES IN CERAMICS BUILDING ( 3 ) The Supervising Architect recommends that an appropriation of $7,500, or so ,3 much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund, for certain structural improvements in the Ceramics Building, which will be required with the removal of the material testing equipment to the new laboratory. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Busey, this appropriation w a s m a d e b y the following vote: A y e , President Armstrong, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . APPROPRIATION FOR PRINT SHOP (34) The Supervising Architect recommends that an appropriation of $1,600, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for certain building changes to provide additional space for the Print Shop for storage. ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION BUDGET (35) The Board of Directors of the Athletic Association submits the budget for the year 1929-30. I recommend that this budget be referred to the Finance Committee for consideration and report. This budget w a s referred to the Finance C o m m i t t e e as recommended. T H E REGISTRAR'S REPORT OF FEES (36) The Registrar submits the following report of fees assessed by him for the second semester of 1928-29:
