MATTERS PRESENTED BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Board considered the following matters presented by the President of the University. DEATH OF MR. FREDERIC 1_. HATCH (1) Announcement of the death o Mr. Frederic L. Hatch, at Spring Grove, on f July 7, 1929. O n motion of M r s . Busey, the following resolution w a s adopted: IN MEMORY OF FREDERIC LEWIS HATCH WHEREAS, the late Honorable Frederic Lewis Hatch was a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois from 1899 to 1905, and from 1907 to 1913, and also President of the Board from 1903 to 1905, and WHEREAS, in his death on July 7 the Board of Trustees lost an honored colleague, and the University a distinguished alumnus and friend, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby expresses to his family its heartfelt sympathy, and that this testimony of its appreciation and sorrow be spread on the Minutes and a copy sent to his widow and the surviving members of his family. CERTIFICATES (2) The Committee on Accountancy recommends that the following candidates, who are c r i i d by the Board of Examiners in Accountancy as having passed the May, etfe 1929, examination, be awarded C.
