REPORT ON USE OF AUTOMOBILES (40) The Comptroller has submitted a report on the use of private automobiles in University work under the special regulations of the Board approved April 8, 1935. This report covers a period of one year to June 1, 1926. This report was received for record. THE McKlNLEY HOSPITAL (41) Dean Thomas A. Clark, Chairman of the Committee in charge of management of the McKinley Memorial Hospital has sent me a report in which there are requests for appropriations. Certain maintenance items are proper for the Supervising Architect to take care of on the side of physical plant maintenance and he will do this. I submit therequestof the Hospital Committee, through its Chairman, for an appropriation of $2,079.95forlaboratory and other equipment for which he says they have not funds available, and a l s of which has been submitted to me. it O n motion of M r s . Busey, this appropriation was m a d e , by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . W h a m ; no, none; absent, M r . Barr, M r . Blair, M r . Small. SUPERINTENDENT OF HOSPITAL (42) Dean Clark, as Chairman of the Managing Committee of the McKinley Hospital, recommends that Miss Kate Putnam, the present Superintendent of the Hospital, be reappointed Superintendent for one year beginning September 1 next, at a salary of $2400 instead of $1800, her present salary, payable from the operating income of the Hospital. I recommend approval. O n motion of M r s . Evans, Miss Putnam's salary was m a d e #2100 a year, with maintenance. BUDGET OF McKlNLEY HOSPITAL (43) The budget of the McKinley Hospital for 1926-27. This budget was received for record. THE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION BUDGET (44) I submit for record the Athletic Association's Budget for 1926-27. This budget was received for record. STORM DRAIN ON FLORIDA AVENUE (45) Unopened bids for the construction of an 18-inch storm-water drain on Florida Avenue between Fourth Street and First Street, Champaign. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, the Secretary opened the bids. They were found to be as follows: Christensen Brothers, $2250, and Kent and C o m p a n y , $2295. O n motion of Dr. Noble, the contract was awarded to Christensen Brothers, the low bidders. SULLIVAN RADIO STATION (46) A statement concerning the funds for the support of the Sullivan radio station. O n motion of M r . W h a m , this matter was referred to the Executive Committee for investigation and report.
