GIFT OF COLLECTION OF BIRDS' EGGS (22) On authority given me by the President before his absence, I authorized the Curator of the Natural History Museum to accept an offer from Mrs. Floy Hess of Philo, Illinois, of a valuable collection of birds' eggs. This collection is of a local nature and numbers more than 2,000 eggs in perfect sets, with full and complete scientific data, and represents many years of study and collection on the part of the late Isaac E. Hess of Philo. O n m o t i o n of M r s . E v a n s , the President of the B o a r d w a s requested to express to the donor the appreciation of the University for this gift.

REPORT OF PURCHASE OF LOT 62 IN COLLEGE PLACE

(23) The Comptroller reports that in accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees on September 22, 1926, Lot Sixty-two in College Place, Champaign, Illinois, has been purchased for $3,240, less taxes, the University assuming the five remaining light assessments totaling $33.55 and the agent's commission of $100. This report w a s received for record.
