DEATH BENEFIT FOR MR. DARWIN H O B A R T (5) I recommend that an a p o i a i n of £364 be made from the Reserve and Conpiprto tingent Fund for the death benefit of Mr. Darwin Hobart, an employee of the Photographic Department, and that the Comptroller be authorized to make this payment to Mr. Hobart's legal representatives. APPROPRIATION FOR SOUTH FARM DRAINAGE (6) On recommendation of Professor White, the President recommends that an additional sum of £4,000 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to carry forth the drainage project for the South Farm in accordance with the policy already adopted. Professor White reports that bids have been received to cover all of the drainage work on the South Farms. An appropriation of £10,000 has already been made for this purpose, but to complete the work a total of $14,000 will be necessary. O n motion of D r . Noble, this appropriation w a s m a d e , by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, Dr. Noble, M r . Trees, M r . CHANGES IN THE COLLEGE OF MEDICINE BUILDING (7) The President recommends that an appropriation of $25,000 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for certain changes and equipment in the old building of the College of Medicine to provide classroom and laboratory facilities for more students. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this appropriation w a s made, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, Dr. Noble, M r . Trees, M r . HEATING SECOND UNIT OF LIBRARY (8) A recommendation of the Supervising Architect that the contract for heating equipment for the Armory Avenue front of the new Library be awarded to the low bidder, the Reliable Plumbing and Heating Company, on the basis of their bid of £12,331 (see Minutes, September 22, 1926, p. 97). O n motion of D r . Noble, this contract was awarded as recommended.
