R E P A I R S IN T H E C H E M I S T R Y B U I L D I N G (5) A recommendation that the sum of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500) be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund to the Building Maintenance Account of Physical Plant Operation in order to take care of extra repairs which were required this year in the Chemistry Building.

On motion of Mr. Trimble, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Trimble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Noble, Mr. Small.

UNUSED BALANCES LAPSED (6) A recommendation that all unused salary balances be now lapsed into the Reserve and Contingent Fund.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was concurred in.

REPORT ON STADIUM MATTERS (7) The following report from Mr. C. J. Rosebery, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Stadium: To the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: As Secretary of the Executive Committee of the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium, I wish to report that the Committee at its meeting held on Friday, April 28 th, at the Blacks tone Hotel, Chicago, approved the contract entered into for the purchase of structural steel for the construction and completion of the east and west stands of the proposed Stadium in conformity with the drawings and specifications made by Holabird & Roche, Architects, for the sum of Fifty-six Dollars per ton of 2000 pounds by scale weights, delivered f. o. b., payments to be made not to exceed 85% of the value of the material furnished, the balance of 15% to be paid after the expiration of 30 days after delivery and acceptance of said material in writing by the architects, signed by the University of Illinois Athletic Association, per George A. Huff, President, and by Ft. Pitt Bridge Works, per Theo. S. Straub, President. The Committee also approved contract entered into on March 29, 1922, with the Corrugated Bar Company of Buffalo, New York, whereby it agrees to furnish approximately 1600 tons of reinforcing bars and spirals required for the construction of the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium according to plans and specifications of Holabird & Roche, Architects, such specifications to be in the hands of the Corrugated Bar Company by July 1,1922, with the provision that Three Cents per cwt.from the base price herein named will be deducted where specifications are furnished by June 1, 1922. PRICE: BARS ONE DOLLAR SEVENTY CENTS per cwt. base, f. o. b. cars mill, with the present tariff rate of freight allowed from point of shipment to Champaign, 111. Freight to be paid by you and credited by us on each invoice.
