USE OF CAVALRY AND FIELD A R T I L L E R Y DETACHMENTS FOR SUMMER CAMP A T FORT SHERIDAN

(25) A report stating that authority has been given by the President of the University to the Military Department to cooperate with the War Deparment by granting the use of our Cavalry detachment and possibly also our Field Artillery detachment for duty in connection with a summer camp at Fort Sheridan from about June 15 to August 15. The Government would assume full responsibility for all equipment, arms, animals, etc., used for this purpose and guarantee their return to Urbana.

This action w*as approved.

Choice of Economics 5 (Public Finance), or Economics 12a (Labor Problems), or Economics 61a (Economic Theory) in place of Economics 5. Choice of Economics 12b (Labor Legislation), or Economics 13 (Economic Development of Modern Europe), or Economics 29 (Foreign Commerce), or Economics 61b (Economic Theory) in place of Economics 31 (Organization of Foreign Commerce). Commercial and Civic Secretaries: Choice of Economics 5 (Public Finance), or Economics 12a (Labor Problems), or Economics 18 (Personnel Management) in place of Economics 5. Psychology 1 (Introduction to Psychology) and Psychology 2 (General Psychology) to be added. Rhetoric 22 (Briefing) to be dropped. Transportation 1 (Transportation Systems of the United States) to be added. Horticulture 37 a-b (Civic Design) to be added. Banking: Economics 4 (Financial History of the United States) to be dropped. Economics 31 (Organization of Foreign Commerce) to be dropped. Economics 36 (Investments) to be added.
