MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

—OF THE—

UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS

January 25,1921

A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 1921, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on January 19, 1921:

On the call of the President, Mr. Robert F. Carr, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago, at 10 o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 1921, to consider matters submitted by the President of the University and the Committees of the Board, and such other matters as may be duly submitted.

The following members were present: President Carr, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, and Mr. Ward. Mrs, Helen M. Griggsby and Dr. William L. Noble, members elect, were present on invitation from President Carr. President Kinley was present.

MINUTES APPROVED

The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of December 14, 1920. On motion of Mr. Abbott, the last two paragraphs on page 159 were corrected to read as follows: "On motion of Mr. Abbott, the President of the Board was authorized to make a contract with Holabird and Roche to furnish studies of the design and to furnish plans, specifications, and details for the Horticulture group. "On motion of Mrs. Blake, the President of the Board was authorized to employ Holabird and Roche to furnish studies of the design and to furnish plans, specifications, and details for a new Library building, and to make contract for the construction of the first unit after the appropriation for the building is made." 163
