BOARD OF TRUSTEES

given to transfer the Military Office to the basement of the Law Building or elsewhere as seems desirable. On motion of Mr. Hoit, these assignments were approved,

COMMISSION ON VETERINARY COLLEGE

(8) A recommendation that a commission be appointed to prepare a report to the next general assembly setting forth a plan for a Veterinary College at the University and the expense necessary to establish and maintain such an institution. On motion of Mr. Abbott, this recommendation was adopted and the President of the Board was requested to recommend candidates to serve on this commission.

RESIGNATION OF PROFESSOR HARDING

(9) A rcommendation that the resignation of Professor H. A. Harding as head of the department of Dairy Husbandry be accepted, with the understanding that Dr. Harding is to continue as Professor of Dairy Bacteriology during the coming year at a salary of four thousand dollars. On motion of Mr. Abbott, this recommendation was approved.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR RUEHE

(10) A recommendation that Assistant Professor H. A. Ruehe be appointed Acting Head of the Department of Dairy Husbandry for one year beginning September 1, 1919, at a salary of $3,500 for the year. On motion of Mrs. Evans, this recommendation was approved.

WAGES OF JANITORS

(11) A request for authority to take such action concerning the adjustment of the wages of janitors as may be found necessary. On m o t i o n of M r . H o i t , t h i s a u t h o r i t y w a s given.

RESIGNATION OF PROFESSOR CHARTERS

(12) The resignation of Dr. W. W. Charters, Professor of Education, to take effect September 1, 1919. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this resignation was accepted with regret.

RESIGNATION OF PROFESSOR STEVENSON

(13) The resignation of Dr. J. A. Stevenson, Assistant Professor of Secondary Education. This resignation was accepted. BEEF CATTLE BARNS DESTROYED (14) A report that the Beef Cattle barns were so badly damaged by a storm on July 31, that it was not considered advisable to attempt to repair
