(2) A recommendation that $23,000 be appropriated for furnishing and equipping the Music Building.

On motion of Mr. Abbott, this recommendation was approved, by the following vote: ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward; noes, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Lowden, Mr. Trimble.

USE OF EDUCATION BUILDING FOR HOSPITAL

(3) A request for authority to use the Education building for hospital purposes during the year in case of epidemic or other emergency.

On motion of Mr. Abbott, this authority was given.

DENTISTRY DEANSHIP

(4) A recommendation that Dr. F. B, Moorehead be permitted to withdraw his resignation, and that he be appointed Dean of the College of Dentistry ($2,300) and Professor and Head of the Department of Oral Surgery and Pathology ($1,200) for one year beginning September 1, 1919; and also that Dr. Moorehead's salary be paid for July and August, since he has been on duty during this time.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was approved.

SECRETARY, COLLEGE OF DENTISTRY

(5) A recommendation that Dr. N. G. Thomas be appointed Professor of Histology (Indefinite tenure, $2,500) and Secretary of the College of Dentistry (one year, $1,500) beginning September 1, 1919, at a total of $4,000.

On motion of Mrs. Evans, this appointment was made.

DEANSHIP, COLLEGE OF COMMERCE

(6) A recommendation that Acting Dean N. A. Weston, Assistant Professor of Economics, be relieved of his duties as Acting Dean (at his own request) and that he be appointed Professor of Economics and made Acting Head of the department for the coming year; further, that Professor C. M. Thompson be appointed Dean of the College of Commerce and Business Administration for one year, beginning September 1, 1919, at a salary of $4,500 a year.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, these recommendations were concurred in.
